The company

Our customer is an international company specialized in R&D on video technologies. 

Listed on Nasdaq, world top company, wants to reinforce their standardization team. 

You will work with the R&D teams on the new video standards such as: AR / VR / Haptic / streaming / immersive / parallax / etc.

You will work with the following standardization bodies: ISO / IEC / MPEG, ITU-T / VCEG, and the JVET.

Task & Duties

• Research on system technologies and solutions for video centric processing, storage and delivery applications in order to guide the lab activities.
• Define / lobby and promote the new standards (MPEG-DASH for example).
• Write documentation about state of the art video streaming technologies 
• Conceptualize new systems AR / VR / XR / Haptic / streaming / immersive / parallax / etc.

Location: Montreal down town, Canada + travels in Rennes (France) and all other the world

Qualifications

• High education in Computer Engineering or Science. 
• Past experience and contributions with video system standards such as ISO / IEC / MPEG, ITU-T / VCEG, and the JVET.
• Research background in video processing, storage and delivery.
• Good writting skills (white paper / articles / etc.).
• Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus)
• Strong team player.
